We started off the activity by showing the children from where corn originates. We saw the golden fields full of corn, how it is cut and finally arrives at the supermarket. The children felt the texture of the corn before being cooked. They tasted the salt and made funny faces because of the salty taste. Finally we showed them what happens to the corn when it is cooked. The children were elated when they heard the popping sounds of the corn when it was being cooked. The best time of the activity was when they could dig in to eat the popcorn!!!!!!!
